Do not view the solar eclipse with naked eyes- use dark sun glasses or an x-ray film to protect your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun.
While some would say it is all right to eat and drink during the eclipse, it is advisable to avoid consumption of food and drinks, not due to superstition but due to the emission of harmful rays of the sun being emitted when the solar eclipse is taking place.
